Altopiano di Brentonico

The Brentonico Highlands lay on the northern hangs of the Monte Baldo, the mountain group that separates the Lake of Garda and the Vallagarina. The highlands are at only 16 km from Rovereto and therefore the last Trentino piece of land before the Veneto Region.
It is the ideal destination for those looking for a complete holiday in the sign of relax in a natural, untouched and traditional area, which does also cope with the needs of more active persons thanks to the huge sport and leisure facilities.
For trekking and hiking lovers numerous trails of different level of difficulty expect you in order to get to know the natural beauty of the Monte Baldo group whose highest peak reaches 2218 m (Cima Valdritta) and 2070 m in the northern part (Monte Altissimo).
The breathtaking views over the Brenta Dolomites in the west, the Stivo Mountain and the Monte Cornetto in the north, the Pasubio chain and the Monti Lessini in the east and finally the Lake of Garda in the south are the highest award for interested and inquisitive travellers.
Thanks to its elevated geographic position the Brentonico Highlands have "survived" the ice age and preserved the nature's characteristics until today, as, for instance, the innumerous rare plant species that gave this place the nickname "Hortus Italiae".
